Berklee College of Music ?

I looked at different schools all around the nation that offer music production certificates including Full Sail and La Recording School. After all my looking at school I came to the decision that Berklee college of music is the best out there. The only thing that concerns me is there required auditions. I mainly just want a degree in Music Production and Engineering ….I really dont have any musical instrument training in my background is it possible to skip the auditions ? If not how hard are they ?

Berklee is the best out there. You’ll need to talk with them. Generally they want you to be a musician (in at least one instrument) to understand well the nuances of making musical sound, which ultimately helps you be a better production engineer.

Berklee College of Music is the finest contemporary music conservatory in the country. The equivalent for classical training is The Juilliard School in New York.

Their production program isn’t a freshman entrance program and they do indeed require an audition that is pretty extreme.

You do have an instrument – you have a voice. You might consider taking that route.

The audition guidelines can be found at
