if you are in any doubt about the reputation of a college in the industry you should be very cautious about making it your first choice. especially in an industry like music, which can be incredibly picky sometimes.

i have visited the Full Sail Real World Education center and the recording department is great, however i don't know how the actual classes are.

take a tour of the school and sit in on some classes in the degree program you are interested in. this will help you a lot.

if you are financially able to, you should probably rethink Full Sail and look into FSU or Appalachian State in NC, or if you are really financially able to, USC or UCLA. they are both very good in music school and recording departments.
good luck!
